Public Consultation - The development of a new Gypsy and Traveller site at Cwmcrachen, Nantyglo

 Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is looking to progress a planning application for the ‘demolition of the existing Gypsy and Traveller site and the redevelopment of a new Gypsy and Traveller site to accommodate 28 pitches, associated amenity blocks, a warden’s office and associated works’ at the existing Cwmcrachen Gypsy and Traveller Site and land off Blaen-Nant Road, Nantyglo.

The proposal in planning terms in classified as a ‘major development’ as such there is a requirement to undertake a formal Pre-application Consultation’ with statutory consultees and the local community prior to submission of the application to the Local Planning Authority.

 Blaenau Gwent Council has  commissioned Asbri Planning to complete the pre-application consultation in accordance with the requirements set out in Part 1A of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales)  Order 2012.

 All relevant drawings, reports and supplementary accompanying supporting documents are made available for inspection on the Asbri Planning Website, see relevant link below;

 To ensure full engagement with the local community, the Council and Asbri Planning have organised a public consultation event at Nantyglo Rugby Club between 1:00pm and 7:30pm on the 9th May 2018. Members of the public are invited to come along to view plans and documents associated with the proposed development, discuss the scheme with the design team and Blaenau Gwent CBC and complete response forms. Approximately 300 letters have been posted to residents, businesses, organisations and councillors local to the proposed development site notifying them of this Pre-application Consultation process and the public consultation event at Nantyglo Rugby Club.

 If you are unable to attend the organised event, hard copies of the proposal have been placed in Brynmawr Library which is open between;

• 09:00 - 13:00 & 14:00 - 17:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; and

• 09:00 - 13:00 Saturday.

 Please note that the Library is closed on both Wednesday and Sunday.

 Alternatively, response forms are available to download on the Asbri Planning website. Anyone who wishes to make representations about this proposed development must do so by the 21st May 2018. Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Blaenau Gwent yn bwriadu cyflwyno cais cynllunio ar gyfer dymchwel y safle Sipsiwn a Teithwyr presennol a datblygu safle Sipsiwn a Teithwyr newydd ar gyfer 28 safle, blociau amwynder, swyddfa warden â’r gwaith cysylltiedig ar safle Sipsiwn a Teithwyr Cwmcrachen a tir oddi ar Ffordd Blaen-Nant, Nantyglo.

Yn nhermau cynllunio mae’r datblygiad arfaethedig yn ‘ddatblygiad mawr’, ac felly rhaid trefnu ymgynghoriad gyda’r gymuned lleol ac ymgynghorwyr stadudol cyn cyflwyno’r cais cynllunio yn ffurfiol i’r Awdurdod Cynllunio Lleol.

Yn unol a’r gofynion a nodir yn Rhan 1A o Orchymyn Cynllunio Gwlad a Thref (Gweithdrefn Rheoli Datblygu) (Cymru) 2012 mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Blaenau Gwent wedi comisiynu Asbri Planning Ltd i drefnu’r ymgynghoriad.

Er mwyn sicrhau ymgysylltiad llawn a’r gymuned lleol, mae’r Cyngor ac Asbri Planning yn trefnu digwyddiad ymgynghori â’r cyhoedd yng Nghlwb Rygbi Nantyglo rhwng 1.00pm a 7.30pm ar y 9fed Mai 2018. Fe wahoddir y cyhoedd i ddod i weld y cynlluniau a’r dogfennau cysylltiedig ac i drafod gyda’r tim cynllunio a Chyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Blaenau Gwent, ac i gwblhau ffurflen ymateb. Fe ddanfonwyd 300 o lythyron at breswylwyr, busnesau, sefydliadau a’r cynghorwyr ger y safle arfaethedig yn esbonio y broses ymgynghori cyn gwneud cais ynghyd ar digwyddiad ymgynghori cyhoeddus yng Nghlwb Rygbi Nantyglo.
